Crashing in Reaper 32-bit too. Quite frequently. Hm... seems to be rushed out of the door for the holiday season since there's not much of a manual either... But I'll have faith in this one. \:\)

Crashing to the point of unusable in Ableton too. Shame cos its a nice effect... Where's the support though? I guess the fact they havent even made a forum for it yet says it all really.

I used their support form a few days ago to get us some attention but nothing yet. N2O is so badly programmed and far from enough tested it seems. And where's the customer love? How did PSP Audioware get such a good reputation in the first place? I start to feel the truth is that they have become a really bad company. They're of course welcome to prove me wrong but if not I will take this outside this forum to other places.

Still here with a non-working VST!

Literally had nothing working from N2O at all.

It would be nice to hear from the developers so they could let us know how things are coming along or if these issues are even on their radar yet.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for late reply. We've been very busy at NAMM, returned home two days ago, horrible jet lag and tons of emails to answer.
Looks like there are quite a number of people experiencing crashes. Very bad. We need to make an update quickly.
Those of you using Macs - please provide us with crashlogs. They help A LOT. PC users - if your system creates minidumps on crash, send them over as well. Enormous help.
We've already tracked down one bug that was definitely responsible for some of the crashes - I'm not sure if it's the only one, though. Will prepare the beta so you can check it out, but need to know which plug-in formats you use. VST for sure (Reaper). Regarding Ableton on Mac - is it VST or AU that crashes? Or maybe both?
Do the crashes happen on any specific action?

Hi Hubert,

N20 (64) appears to be able to exist without crashing Reaper64 (Win 7 64) until the moment the "Play" button is pressed and then it will crash within a few seconds.

I.e. I can open a track, insert N20, (even add a bit of pre-recorded audio to the track, e.g. a loop), and that state can exist for at least 5 minutes (until I pressed PLAY), BUT as soon as I press PLAY Reaper crashes within seconds.

No crash log is generated.

Tried to load N2O in the new Maschine 1.6 public beta and it crashed immediately too.

Windows XP 32-bit
Reaper and Maschine (standalone)
Hope you find a solution quite soon and that it's not to complicated.

crashes all the time in abelton with erratic CPU spikes. macbook pro, live 8, 10.6.5

Also when loaded as a plug in with NI maschine will crash every time. using the vst version. I paid a lot of money for something that does not work. Unacceptable. I did not pay to become a beta tester. A plug in should not be taking so much of my CPU...i use up more cpu with one instance of n20 than having reaktor, massive and kontakt all at once with maschine.

I'm getting the crashing and cpu spikes as well . All the stuff you are aware of.

I'm also getting issues with the pitch shifter. As soon as I enable it the sound get real nasty. Sounds nothing like what I put into it. Is there a quality setting anywhere or is it maybe a bug?

And is there a written manual for N20? I found a PDF that says N2O manual but it only had a picture of and no information.

Once the kinks are worked out this will be a goto plugin for sure.
Looking forward to that upcoming update.

It has gone two months since I've bought N2O and I can't still use it any project due to the crashes I described earlier in this thread. All I can say is that I haven't experienced any other company being this sluggish without having quite big problems internally. This is really weird, really, really weird. N2O is my first PSP Audio plugin and what did I know when I believed in other customers' positive opinion about this company. Boy, I was wrong. I feel the only way I would change my opinion to the better is if I/we get compensated some way. Two months without being able to use it. That's not a small bug and it's definitely not OK.

Now, over to the KVR forum.

I tried N20 when you offered the intro crossgrage, but didn't
buy because it crashes FL Studio 9.1 every time.

Vista64, 4gb ram, 2.5Ghz Intel Core2Du, M-Audio Mobile Pre USB, Geforce 8600M GS.

Have to say, I'm having issues on OS X with N20 crashing both Maschine and Kore2 just by loading it up. Had crashes in Logic too although it seems fairly stable in Presonus Studio One.

N20 looks promising, am hoping the kinks will be ironed out soon.

If N2O was a car almost everyone using it would be dead. How's that for engineering art. More than 2 and a half month now without even a slightest fix.

This is the worse plug in i have ever purchased! make no mistake! i cant use it, it crashes ALL the time in abelton. crashes when used in maschine as well! i want my money back! 3 months ive had this and its not useable. It was not cheap either! i should have gone to Fabfilters. Fair enough your working on fixes but i did not pay over a hundred pounds to be your beta tester.

Last time i buy anything from psp. which is a shame as your products are good, but i feel like ive been ripped off here. shame on you.

Hello Lads:

Relative newcomer to the forums. I have used Nitro fairly extensively, and thought I would give the N2O demo a test drive before plopping down some of me hard-earned dosh.

I read this thread originally before giving her a go. But, my experience with the demo has been very positive. I am running Reaper and FL Studio 10 - 32 bit on WinXP SP3, and I haven't had any crashes or unexpected behaviors.

I am curious, which OS / DAW's are exhibiting these erroneous behaviors? None of my business really, I just feel that the PSP guys are delightful chaps and the more info we give them, the better they can make this little jewel sparkle.

Well, I have just spent the last 20 minutes with v.1.01 64bit in REAPER-64 and there were not any crashes.

N20 sounds very nice too.

Fingers crossed the problems have been solved.

I suppose I should have been a bit more specific and stated that I was using Reaper 32 bit v. 3.76

In Reaper, still somewhat sluggish but usable. \:\) No crashes yet.
But the sounds... the sounds! Marvelous!!! Thanks!

Still. A bit worried about their customer care policy. Gotta work on that.

Hi

I also have still crashes with the newest version of N2O.
I'm using it in Cubase 5.5.2 on Windows XP 32bit - SP3

It seems that N2O has a problem if VintageWarmer is also loaded anywhere in the same Cubase-Project.

Try this to reproduce the crash:

1. Load VintageWarmer (v.2.5.2) and N2O (v.1.0.1) in the same Cubase-Project.

2. Play sound from an audiofile or VST-Instrument on the N2O track.

3. Load preset 56 (Green Flash) from Bank A then step forward to preset 57 (PsycheDelisse) while sound is playing on the N2O track

After this Cubase shows 100% CPU-Load and any sound is completely mutet.
