I'm trying to understand Multitap and Mutidelay modes - maybe you can confirm something for me...

It seems to me that Multitap mode is completely redundant because you can do everything that you can do in multitap mode in multidelay mode.

If I have understood it correctly in multidelay mode you just have to set all the tap amounts to zero (getting rid of the per tap feedback) and then pick one tap to use for the global feedback and adjust the amount with the control in the feedback section. Doesn't this do everything you can do in multitap mode?

Obviously in multitap mode the controls work a little differently, but isn't the end result the same?

Or did I misunderstand something?

You're right .
Also in multi tap I can't seem to get enough repeats but in multidelay it's fine.

Yes, I think the main difference is the feedback handling .....
