MasterComp 1.5.4 doesn't work in a chain after Master Q or Neon. No idea why, as version 1 used to. However, I can use them in the other order. Any ideas? I'm on Samplitude 9.1 with the latest MasterQ, MasterComp and Neon.

I run it after MasterQ in soundBlade, as well as PT. So, the problem must be unique to Samplitude, or the PC platform.

We don't know exact reason of the problem under Samplitude however it may be related to channel routing. It is possible that Samplitude is not able to configure channels properly for plug-ins which are asking for 2..4 ins and 2 outs.

Apparently I'm not alone. Someone else has the problem in WaveLab 6.

Here's new info: It will only work after an even number of plugs (irrespective of what the plugs are - linear phase eq, minimum phase eqs, other comps etc.), even if the plug is completely bypassed! Go figure.

I'm in Samp Pro v9 and I'm finding that MC154 won't work unless there an even number of plugs that are engaged before MC. Bypass or remove any one of them and sound goes away (until you bypass MC)...

I'm glad there's at least a workaround as mentioned in the Samp forum: place an even number of plugs before MasterComp and internally bypass the one(s) not used.

Still, it would be nice to have a fix...

Sascha (Mr. digitalfishphones) and a developer from Magix asked if MC is sidechainable. He's got a funny feeling...

This response from Magix Admin:

"...there was some confusion when initializing the additional plugin channels. We have fixed the problem in the meantime, the fix should be part of the 9.1.2 patch."

As we thought there was a channel routing support problem in Samplitude, things may look even worse in some versions of Wavelab. Hopefully both applications are getting updates fixing it.
