I'm a bit curious about the Sidechain capabilities with this plug-in. It has the low and high frequency sidechain filters but there is no explanation in the manual about sidechaining with this plug-in.
Is there some kind of sidechain send/return that I'm not seeing? How can I sidechain, say, an equalizer plug-in? Is this a true sidechain or are these simply low/high cuts that are labeled "sidechain"?

This is just an internal side-chain control path and external source cannot be used for it.

So basically these are just low-pass and high-pass filters that are frequency-variable and can then make the Master Comp not trigger on frequencies above or below the set thresholds. Yes?

If they are set as cut filters - yes, you can also switch them to boost lows or highs.
