i have a 60 minute audio file (24bit/44.1kHz) open in Peak and there's no way i can open an easyverb instance - always a crash.

how much cpu does this beast use? i'd think that if my system (1.25GHz powerbook, 1GB memory) runs out of cpu the playback would just stop, right? but now it will not even open the plugin window but crashes peak instantly. clearly there's something wrong with the plug code because whatever i do this is the only way i can make peak crash...

do you need any additional information? i'm running peak 4.11 on top of 10.3.4 and no other apps are running.

The CPU should be enought for this plug-in, especially in the editor when no multitrack processing is needed.
I think that a problem might be a kind of memory issue.
Does the problem occur only on this very long file or does it happen also with short ones?

the long ones always crash, but the short ones (24bit/44.1kHz about 5 minuts) crash occasionally too. especially when the audio is playing, there already is few plugin instances running, and i try to instantiate easyverb. peak looks like it keeps playing but the audio mutes, and then after few seconds the program crashes.

surely 1GB should be enough as well ;\)
