Yet another bug....

If I open a project where EasyVerb has been inserted, EasyVerb is not responding The way to get it to work again is to go into the presets, select something different, and then go back to the preset you want... and then it activates.

You have to do this for every instance of EasyVerb used in the project.

Nuendo 2.1

This is pretty consistent. The plug will turn on automatically though when I hit Save, for instance, in Nuendo.

Nuendo 2.10.10
Dual 1.42
10.2.6
1 Gig Ram
ULN-2 1.4.27
2 UAD Cards

Thought you should know this is happening with DreamVerb as well. So it looks like it is probably a Steinberg issue.

Great sounding Verb you guys! \:\)

Could you let me know what do you exaclty mean by "the plug-in is not responding"?

We will get back to EasyVerb and MasterQ code soon and I am collecting reports so exact description of the problem would really help.

Regards,

I insert an instance of EasyVerb (or DreamVerb) and then insert say another verb. In switching between the two to compare, suddenly the first instance no longer functions (responds). Turning it on or off does not turn the reverb back on. Only re-inserting EasyVerb (or DV) will make it function again.

But I don't think this is an EasyVerb problem Mateusz. I did at first, because it was the first time I'd seen this happen. But since then, DV has done this as well. It could be something to do with the UAD cards, or it could be Nuendo bugginess.

If I hear back from the other camps, I'll let you know, thanks!

I really like Nuendo and SX but since versions 2.0 occured I am frustrated about them.
I made some tests yesterday night with EasyVerb saving and reloading settings and found that reports where really true. Although the algorithm is graphically properly selected the plug-in always use the ambience algorithm in the Cubase. I also made the same test in Wavelab (using its master section's presets) and recalling settings always worked fine. This appears how different VST handling can be depending on the host even if both are Steinberg's products. This make a really hard to solve problem in such complicated plug-in.

Yes, the latest version, though chalk full of improvements, has many broken features and oddities. One problem for sure is how CPU intensive it is, not leaving much room for CPU intensive plugs.

I just finished a mix with EasyVerb tonight. It's a gorgeous reverb.

Best wishes at NAMM!
