I'm running the latest version of EasyVerb (1.01), and I'm getting sound bursts that are friggin LOUD!!!!!!!!!!! The only way to get rid of the sound is to turn the plug off.

Whew. My nerves are shot... hopefully my Mackies aren't.

Using Nuendo 2.1, OS 10.2.6, and dual 1.42; the project I'm testing it in is 96k.

I have narrowed it down...

The sound bursts occur when choosing different settings. I haven't tested this in anything but 96k. But it's extremely loud, and dangerous of course, to the ears and monitors.

Thanks for notifying us. We will make further testing of this plug-in but we have problems easily recreating such behavior.

Mateusz,

To clarify what I mean by settings.... it's when I pull the menu down and select different presets that this burst occurs. I noticed it particularly with Great Cathedral and I believe Lush Strings. But I don't know if that's just a coincidence... it likely is a random issue.

So I'm not the only one here with this.

By me it's:

DP4.11
VST to AU adapter
G5 dual 2 gig
OS 10.2.8
Project: 44.1k sample rate 16 bit

Thanks for all information. For unknown reason it occurs only on Macs so it is even harder to trace.

Mateusz,

It might be related to the VST to AU adapter.

Please look here.

It is rather not a VST-AU adapter fault but ours. We are prearing an update which should be available next week.

I've had the same problem with the Mac version running in DP4 via VST Wrapper.

The update which should fix the problem with a noise burst should be ready today. We will send a newsletter with download information.

Mateusz,

Good news... the fix seems to have gotten rid of those bursts.

My system is much more stable now as well (with MasterQ's update combined).

Thanks for fixing this so fast!

One anomaly I'm looking into is the Save time in Nuendo has increased in projects that use EasyVerb. What is normally about a half second process now takes about 3-4 seconds. Would this be because of the CPU intensive nature of EasyVerb?

Nuendo 2.10.10
Dual 1.42
10.2.6
1 Gig Ram
ULN-2 1.4.27
2 UAD Cards

I am glad to hear that things are going in a good direction and I am sorry to all of you who noticed this dangerous EasyVerb's behavior.
I am not sure if your saving time comparison relates to project which didn't use the EasyVerb or to project which did use it but the time grew after the update.

In the first case it is very possible that the EasyVerb alters the saving and loading time because it has a very complex initialization procedures (we hope to find faster solutions in the future). In the second case there could be a difference but I am not sure it could be so big.

Regards,

I'll test this further to be sure.

Hi Mateusz,

I was mistaken -- it is MasterQ, and not EasyVerb causing this delay in Save time. I have posted this on the MasterQ board.
