I recently bought Master Q but find that I get only distorted sound from it. I'm using DP 4.12 and used the Fxpansion VST to AU converter. Vintage Warmer (VST) works very well and I'm stumped as to why there is so much distortion.The interface seems to slow down and get very sluggish when I insert Master Q

Hello,

We didn't have any reports about such problems under DP and we could not directly support using it via VST Adapter before we release an AU version.
Do you use the latest VST Adapter (1.20 or later)?
Did you try the plug-in on mono or stereo tracks?
Maybe your Mac is just to much loaded with other plug-ins and similar tasks? The MasterQ requires pretty fast machine to work fast and with heaby loading your Mac may become too slow for it.
