Have anyone converted the factory presets to ProTools format?

Thanks for the help...

I thought about it but what would be the benefits, instead of choosing presets via the GUI?

The benefit of using the PT native preset format would be easier navigation and grouping, stepping up and down of presets and no limit to the amout of presets one could use. I'm voting in favour!

Not sure what the big deal about this is.

I've done this with the Arturia synths.

The best reason for converting the Library presets to Pro Tools presets, for me, is that on some occasions, when I'm changing Nitro presets, Pro Tools will "Unexpectedly quit".

But all ya gotta do is go to the preset you want to convert and 'save as' in the RTAS toolbar of the plugin. I don't see why you'd convert them all, instead of the ones you use all the time.

As I said - PT offers much better navigation, ability to organize presets in folders if needed and the option to click through the presets instead of the A/B/C Bank and having to scroll down a looong list...

All I was asking was if someone has done the job already to save others (me!) the two hours it takes to convert them all...

I saved a lot of the factory presets to the RTAS menu last night, but I also changed a few things that I consider timesavers.

If a preset's LFO mode was 'sync', I changed it to something that wouldn't be static if PT's transport is a rest (which it generally always is when I'm paging thru presets).

Makes a difference. ?% )
