...it brings my computer to its knees!

the demo alone ranks as my single favorite vst effect. the sound is amazing, and the presets are sweet as. but the problem is that it is VERY heavy on the cpu. i would love to see a feature like the quality control on Ambience--you have the ability to lower the sound quality and lower the cpu burden. this would be a HUGE benefit to this plug. you could experiment with low settings without crashing. after you have the sound you want you can then bounce at the highest quality. without such a feature or a new g5, nitro is like a beautiful woman i can't touch!

on my G4@1.25GHz powerbook nitro behaves nicely and doesn't "bring the system down to its knees", so maybe you should check if there's something wrong with your system?

Nitro takes 10% CPU from my P4/1800 mhz PC, just like Easyverb. Listen to theese sounds, they have to cost you some cpu. \:D

i'll try it out in a different project...maybe i just need a new computer...damn...

anyway, MARVELOUS plug-in guys. congrats!! i like it better than quad frohmage, both because of the sound quality and because the presets are a 1000 times better.

Hi,

You are right that Nitro uses considerable amounts of resources but compared to otherfilter plug-ins with similar set of algorithms used this is fair.
In my opinion adding a "quality" control could considerable increase the CPU usage compared to the current version.

Regards,
