I LOVE this plug-in. But when I try to select values, the GUI behaves erratically. If I click in the LFO "rate" window and try to drag to a new value, there is no logical, smooth progression. The value might sit there at 8 for a while. Or if I move the mouse really fast, it might go into the fractional range suddenly. Holding the shift key once I'm able to actually grab a number seems to help somewhat.

This flaky behavior happens all over the GUI. I can't consistently drag filter values either on the knobs of the OPS or in the graphic OPS window. Option clicking to a particular point on the knob does work consistently, so that's what I'm doing. What a pain. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm running G5 dual 1.8 GHz with Digital Performer 4.12. OSX 10.3.2. I'm using the Audio Units version of Nitro.

This is a real problem. Nitro does not respond to the mouse correctly under Digital Performer 4.5 as an AudioUnit.

Luckily I own VSTWrapper, so I can use the VST version and it works fine. But most DP users will be frustrated.

I have only just started playing with Nitro during the last few days and it is evident that it is a powerful tool.

My major gripe is with with the interface being a bit difficult to read clearly during late-night sessions and using the mouse to enter values. You should at least be able to use the keyboard in order to type in values alpha-numerically and also be able to use the 'arrow keys' in order to increment values slowly.
If the plug-in grows to have these features, I'll buy it; easily!

I'm a huge fan of your products but this plug is almost unusable. Most of the time when i grab a knob it jumps to zero and I can't get it above 20% without it diving back again.

I use DP 4.5 on a dual 2.5 gig mac.

Pleas fix this bug, please.

The 'jumping controls' problem actually occurs in DP version 4.5. Nitro will require an update and we're working on it now.

Scott, do you use the FXpansion VST2AU wrapper? Which version is it?

you'll see the same behaviour in DP 4.51. scrolling through presets is very erratic. kudos to HP for the otherwise fantastic-looking and sounding nitro plugin. i'm well pleased with what i hear.

I'm glad to see there are others out there also tearing out their hair over this issue.

Absolutely utterly irritating! The GUI is totally uncontrollable. Almost a waste even trying to use the mouse on it.

Yes, please, a fix ASAP!

For the record, I'm also using DP 4.5, so the bug falls in line with what others are reporting.

Interestingly enough, I purchased this plugin on the recommendation of someone on the MOTU mailing list. He obviously hadn't updated to 4.5.

Markman reported the same troubles in 4.12 back in Sept '04...

Hi Hubert,

I am using AudioEase VST Wrapper, I can't remember the version but I downloaded an update sometime around mid-December. (Sorry I am out of town and I am not in front of my workstation so I can't tell the exact version #)

Hi everyone,

Nitro update will be ready within one week. No more jumping knobs and sliders. Also the automation will work fine in DP 4.52 and the plug-in won't cut audio when soundbite is over.
